Olive Milling, Filtering and Bottling
at ToothAcre Ranch
The ToothAcre Ranch olive oil company offers contract milling, filtering and bottling to other growers and producers during the olive harvest season. This offers growers and producers the opportunity to produce their own olive oil without the expense of purchasing an olive mill, filtering equipment or a bottling line. Milling is offered by prior arrangement to ensure that the olives are processed as soon as possible upon reaching the olive mill to ensure the best quality olive oil. All olives will be pressed within 12 hours of arrival using one of our two state of the art Mori Tem Italian olive mills following the same process we utilize to produce ToothAcre Ranch’s award winning olive oil.
The Olives will be processed by Craig Fischer and/or Scott Toothacre, each of whom has completed the Master Olive Miller course at UC Davis.
The olives first proceed through a deleafer and then proceed into a water bath before entering the crusher and malaxer. This is a crucial step in the process of obtaining high quality olive oils, and results in the very best olive oil that can be obtained from your fruit.
The olive oil can also be filtered and/or bottled for an additional charge, if that is what the client desires.
To secure a milling date, customers must complete the following three steps:
Fill out our Milling Reservation Form: Please fill out our online Reservation Form below and be sure to press submit button below when finished. If you are unable to access the online form, contact us so that one may be sent to you via email or USPS. ToothAcre Ranch will confirm your reservation by email or phone.
2. Pay a $175 Reservation Fee: Upon confirmation, a $175 Reservation Fee is required. This modest fee covers the cost of making a reservation as well as olive mill setup, cleanup, water/power usage and waste disposal. Payment can be made by calling us (858)212-8378) with your credit or debit card information.
3. Read and sign our Services Agreement: It is essential that you read this agreement. It provides all details concerning what we expect from customers who deliver olives, as well as what customers should expect from us.
