Our Story

ToothAcre Ranch was founded in 2017 by then newlyweds Scott and Susan Toothacre, and is located in the rolling hills of Ramona, California; the heart of San Diego’s burgeoning wine and olive oil region.

In 2018, we planted 100+ Tuscan variety olive trees on our property. Our first olive harvest in 2019 produced a small batch of exceptional ToothAcre Ranch olive oil, and we realized we could pursue our dream of developing a local product that complemented the local award-winning wines. Over the years, we expanded our groves to over 800 trees. Now, our trees produce enough delicious award-winning ToothAcre Ranch Estate Reserve Extra Virgin olive oil to share with friends, followers, and online customers.

We are beyond thrilled to have our ToothAcre Ranch Estate Reserve Extra Virgin Olive Oil evaluated against other Global Extra Virgin Olive Olive producers, and to have won several prestigious awards.

Our 2023 Harvest ToothAcre Ranch Estate Reserve Extra Virgin Olive Oil swept the International Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) competitions with the following medals:

* Gold Medal: NY World International EVOO Competition
* Silver Medal: Los Angeles International EVOO Competition
* Gold Medal: The California State Fair Extra Virgin EVOO Competition

Other California Extra Virgin Olive Oil competition awards for our 2021 Harvest ToothAcre Ranch Old World Style Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which was our first commercially available Olive Oil, include our first Gold Medal at the The Big Fresno Fair 7th Annual San Joaquin Valley Olive Oil Competition (SJVOOC), and our first Bronze Medal at the California Mid State Fair, Central Coast Olive Oil Competition in Paso Robles.

We expanded our ToothAcre Ranch product line in 2021 by introducing ToothAcre Ranch Aged Balsamic Vinegars imported from Modena, Italy, along with flavored Balsamic Vinegars.  In 2022, ToothAcre Ranch launched our Tapenade product line, featuring seven different flavors of this delicious condiment.
